As mankind’s oldest financial institution, Pawnbroking carries on a tradition with a rich history. Pawnbroking can be traced back at least 3,000 years to ancient China and has been found in the earliest written histories of Greek and Roman civilizations. During the chaotic Middle Ages with depressions and economic hardship common, pawn shops provided a necessary means of survival for a huge number of citizens.
Our Story
Prior to opening Best Pawn and Jewelry, the owners started in the Jewelry trade back in South East Texas. When we went looking for the next venture we wanted to do something where we could apply our jewelry knowledge to a different industry. Best Pawn and Jewelry is our attempt to raise the bar and give the customers of this 3000-year-old industry more respect and service than typically found in most pawn shops.
Coming from humble beginnings, we know better than most how difficult cash flow can be for many individuals. Our goal is to help smooth the bumps and offer creative solutions as well as understanding their needs.
